Individual Californian Homestay - A Once in a lifetime English learning Opportunity!
Spend the summer enjoying exciting California. Immerse yourself completely in the American culture by living with a volunteer host family in San Francisco. This non- group, individual, total immersion experience means you will only encounter English throughout your stay.
Our Immersion families truly embody the “homestay” philosophy – sharing their lives with you and helping you to learn about their culture. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to become immersed in America’s traditions & language, while at the same time forming lifelong friendships!
A perfect alternative to our Group Program
If you want to experience the American way of life, but prefer to organise your time independently, rather than being part of a group, this program is exactly right for you. Before you depart, you will be given contact details of your personal ECI representative who is on 24-hour standby for you. Your ECI representative will contact you on arrival, and arrange to meet with you at least once during your stay and will call you at least once every week. He or she is always available to you as a source of support, should you need it.
