Language and Culture Workshops
Improve your English and learn about the American culture!
What better way to improve your English than to spend three weeks living with an American family?
Every day you will be immersed in the language; you will be amazed at how fluent you become!
In order to reinforce what you learn with your family, there will be a series of Language and Culture activities, led by native speakers.
Workshops
Our workshops have a practical focus and will not necessarily be classroom based. You could find yourself involved in an American musical dancing class, baking chocolate brownies or learning a typically American sport, such as baseball.
At the beginning of each workshop you will receive relevant materials to enhance your learning experience – for example, a vocabulary list and exercises relating to the workshop.
The aim of these activities is to improve your oral skills and to learn about US culture in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Study Visits
Study visits have a strong educational focus, and could include excursions to a television or radio station, a local police station, a San Francisco museum, Berkeley University or Alcatraz Island.
